Kari Matchett Biography
Kari Matchett, a Canadian actress, is best known for her roles in films like 'Apartment Hunting' 'Men with Brooms', and 'The Tree of Life'. Born and raised in Spalding, Saskatchewan, she later relocated to Alberta, Canada, from where she graduated high school. During her teenage years she began to develop an interest in acting. To receive further training in acting, she attended the National Theatre School' in Montreal and later went to the Moscow Theatre School.' In 1996, she played an actor in the Canadian series titled "The Rez." She was also featured in series like "Ready or Not" and "Forever Knight". Her film debut came in late 1990s with the film titled Papertrail. She then was in films such as 'Men with Brooms’ 'Cypher', and others. Additionally, she played support roles in shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder." The actress was also seen in films until the 2000s. However, her film appearances were smaller than her television ones. She was also the lead actress in 1998's Canadian drama series called 'Power Play. The series ran for 26 episodes and received both critical and commercial praise. The actress was nominated for the 'Gemini Award' for her performance in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett was born to her in June of 2013. However, she didn't divulge the name of her son’s father. According to some sources her ex boyfriend is the father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke in the mid-1990s, and they began dating. They got married in 1998. The marriage didn't last and they divorced in 2006.
