Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz is a Canadian actress. She is most famous for her roles as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science fiction show Continuum. Recently, she starred as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is from Polish origin and lived for one year in Poland in the ninth grade. She lived there along with her uncle. She also attended an elementary school in Jelenia Gora. Later, she studied at Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. The actress began her career in 2002 with brief appearances on the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 to 2009 she was the character as Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. In 2008, she played as Andy Jensen on Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to be the character Lacy Rand on Caprica's popular television drama, starring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. The following year, she was a guest on Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as a guest star in Jane Espenson’s second season, web-based romantic comedy Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She also played Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno, although it was shot in 2012, was released globally in the year the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast to portray Angela in Volition an science fiction thriller film. It came out in 2020.
