Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born to Gayle
(Gaston) she was director of national operations at Mary Kay and Freddie
Wright. She grew up in San Diego, California. When she was 14 years old, she
started her career in modeling. She worked in Paris as well as Japan. She chose
to become an actress after she graduated high school. She was offered a part in
the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984) and she was nominated for three daytime
Emmys. She was in love with Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They got
married in 1986. In addition, she appeared in The Princess Bride (1987) in the
title role. She was given the role of Santa Barbara but left to appear in
Denial (1990) with Jason Patric. In 1990, she appeared playing the role of
State of Grace (1990), where she became acquainted with actor Sean Penn, by
whom she had a daughter, Dylan Frances, and a son, Hopper Jack. Robin was back
in Hollywood with Tara, one of the most memorable roles in her career after
taking a break. She was an amazing actress and a brilliant performer. Then, she
appeared in Toys (1992) along in which she starred alongside Robin Williams.
She gave an enthralling performance. Wright was also in 1994's blockbuster
smash Forrest Gump (1994), starring with Tom Hanks. She was nominated for the Golden
Globe Award in recognition of her performance in the film as Jenny. She was
offered a tiny part in The Crossing Guard (1995) in which she co-starred with
Jack Nicholson. After a string of rejections, she was offered the title part in
MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996). The movie was directed by Pen Densham and
featured Morgan Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. Then, she
appeared alongside William Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
