Markie Post

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She started her professional career as a TV and film producer, producing films such as "The New Card Sharks", (1978) and "Card Sharks" (1986). Post went on to produce projects such as Double Dare (1976), and was a guest on numerous TV shows, including E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most popular role was for her part in "Christine Sullivan" in the show, an actress and Night Court star (1984). The actress was on more than 156 episodes of the comedy, from 1984 to 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She was a poet and noted nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918-April 7, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987), and Daisy Ross (born on March 30, 1990), were her second wedding to Michael A. Ross. Born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School, Walnut Creek, California. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was the trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Was cremated and her cremated remains returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months away from her 71st birth date on the 4th of November 2021, died on August 7. She passed away 27 days following Charles Robinson, her Night Court (1984), co-star, died on July 11 2021. Although they were completely distinct shows, Night Court (1984), which she played was cancelled in 1992, with Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), in which Post played a different role, Georgie Lahti (who, incidentally, had previously worked in Washington DC before moving to the smaller city) was released in 1992.
